Rugged keyboards for industrial use

These rugged keyboards can be used in many different markets such as: in the aviation, defense, mechanical engineering and maritime / nautical sectors, but also in the automotive, chemical, food and beverage, medical and pharmaceutical, textile, paper – industry.

These tough, reliable robust/though keyboards (with possible integration of input devices/pointing devices such as mouse-pointers such as trackballs or touchpads/trackpads) will last and withstand environments where standard office-quality keyboards will not survive for long. The robust keyboards provided by Mulder-Hardenberg are ideal for wet, dirty and harsh environments. When using these robust keyboards, think of the control and operation of production lines and/or automation solutions such as in robotics or the process industry.

The deployment of these keyboards is often accompanied by HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) applications/operator interfaces. The keyboards are easy to clean and can therefore be used hygienically. Most keyboards are vandal resistant. Material options are: Stainless steel, plastic, silicone and more. Versions with edge protection are often recommended in case the keyboard cannot be recessed during mounting, in which case we recommend a bezel for protection and reinforcement.

• Multifunctional layout, available in several languages ​​such as QWERTY and AZERTY, with dedicated numeric, function and control keys
• IP specifications (IP65, IP66, IP67 rating)
• Marine specification possible (IEC 60945)
• Optional wishes such as applying your own customer logo are possible.

Optionally widely used is lighting of the most important parts and contours of the keyboards, such as the trackball contour. Different colors are possible here.

• Integration of two dedicated buttons for dimming up/down is easy to apply

• Low power LEDs guarantee a long service life and therefore no external power supply is required

• The lighting intensity is dimmable and desirable in dark (night) or extremely bright (sunlight) conditions

• Intelligent setting of “Numlock” and “Capslock”

• White backlight as standard, other colors on request.
