When designing measuring and testing equipment, the components are critically checked. The factors and specifications are compared to arrive at an optimal end product. However, there may be a defect in the result caused by a component that has not been properly examined beforehand.
The challenge
A disruptive effect in the customer’s equipment prompted the search for the cause. It was concluded that the problem should be in the input or in the processor boards used. However, the equipment manufacturer was so convinced of the stability of its products that this was immediately ruled out. However, the problem persisted and our technician had to perform an extensive check of the electronic components to rule out possible causes.
The solution
By placing a modified input and perfecting the housing of the input, excellent EMC protection has been created. As a result, signals from surrounding components no longer get in each other’s way. In addition, the new input makes it possible to supply larger and different capacities, which provides more stability.
The result
Due to the adapted input, stable and verifiable measurement and test results have been obtained immediately and the malfunction has disappeared from the customer’s equipment. Thanks to our experience and expertise, a smart innovative solution has been devised.
