Our company profile

Our customers are system integrators, installers, OEMs, machine builders, but also R&D centers, engineering consultants and end users. Together we develop and produce industrial products and installations, and we implement industrial automation and network projects in companies throughout Europe.

We distribute industrial quality products, from standard items to customer specials, including completely integrated systems. Most standard items, and specials if required, are in stock in our warehouses. We strongly believe in long-term relationships with our customers and the manufacturers we represent. That is why our Sales, Technical Support, Administration, Receiving and Shipping departments are focused on providing our customers with the best possible service.

We believe that the key to a solid business relationship is based on mutual trust and understanding. That is why Mulder-Hardenberg has been investing in knowledge, quality and a personal approach since 1927 in order to deliver products, services and total solutions of the highest level in close collaboration with our customers.

Vision
In a market where (technical) developments are changing at a rapid pace, we believe that specialist knowledge and a targeted product range are essential. In order to be able to meet the changing demand, we focus on our specialisms. Within 5 years we want to be known as an expert for whom in-depth knowledge and service are standard.

How it started

Our story

The successful journey of the family business

Mulder-Hardenberg was founded in 1927 in Amsterdam by Mr Mulder. Mr Mulder retired in 1938 and the company was renamed Mulder-Hardenberg. The company grew, mainly by expanding into several new lines at the request of the growing industries of the 1950s. In addition to staff for administration and storage, a third salesperson was hired. The sales area was expanded to the whole of the Netherlands and more and more components came from the United States and the United Kingdom. In 1961, Mr. Jan Landeweer joined. Mr. Landeweer expanded the range of electronic components with electrical components. A new world opened up for Mulder-Hardenberg and further expansion followed. The company moved from Amsterdam to Haarlem.

In the early 1980s, the company established a subsidiary in the United States to facilitate the import of goods from the US. In response to a growing demand, the expertise was used to establish Mulder-Hardenberg’s service department to develop and create complete solutions. After having built up a successful history for almost 50 years from the stately building at the Westerhoutpark in Haarlem, under the guidance of the children of Mr Jan Landeweer, it was time for change and renewal. Mulder-Hardenberg settled in a multifunctional business building in Hillegom, after which a decision was made in 2020 for a larger building with more capacity, a larger warehouse, better accessibility and practical adjacent offices in Haarlem.

Mulder-Hardenberg is active in network solutions, where customers are offered solutions for challenging problems in data centers, server environments or the developments of Fiber to the Home networks and many more applications. Mulder-Hardenberg’s group of industrial automation solutions offers customers support in industrial automation, control, user environments and highly specialized monitoring requirements.
