MTL GECMA – Workstations (WS)
The MTL GECMA workstation series is specifically designed to address the challenging (environmental) issues associated with visualization in harsh and hazardous environments. With decades of experience and expertise, and built on its successful predecessors CHALLENGER and EXPLORER, which boast a significantly large installed base, the MTL GECMA workstation offers a range of advanced features and state-of-the-art technologies.
The range includes Remote Terminal (RT), Thin Client (TC) and Personal Computer (PC), suitable for various applications.
The sleek, flexible modular construction is specifically designed to meet the most stringent hygiene standards and aggressive production environments. In addition, the individual modules are certified to enable safe maintenance, even in hazardous environments. We offer complete solutions with ceiling mounting, wall mounting or standing base, with or without keyboard and mouse. At your request, we will be happy to further customize this to your wishes.

MTL GECMA – Remote Terminal (RT)
Eaton’s MTL GECMA RT is a keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) extension of a personal computer or thin client in a secure environment and can be installed in Ex Zone 1/2/21/22 dangerous areas.
The MTL GECMA RT (successor to the well-known CHALLENGER series) offers a user-friendly, near-realtime solution that allows a PC or thin client in a secure environment to be remotely controlled from a hazardous area via a single point-to-point connection. It consists of the individually Ex-certified components from our innovative, modular MTL GECMA workstation range.
Our individually certified modules are designed for quick and easy on-site maintenance. Choose from our 19″ XGA, 22″ Full HD, and 24″ WUXGA displays with advanced LED backlight technology for optimal quality and perfect display. Flexible, customized solutions are always available.
MTL GECMA – Personal Computer (PC) and Thin Client (TC)
The workstations are also available with an integrated computer or thin client. Due to their modular design, the features and construction are identical, but instead of a KVM extension, a PC module is integrated. This comes standard with a quad-core CPU, a Windows operating system, and various Ex i and Ex e interfaces.
