Het doel van dit project was een ingrijpende modernisering van de verkeerstoren op Schiphol. Onderdeel van het project was de digitalisering van het systeem waarmee luchtverkeersleiders vluchtinformatie uitlezen. De lay-out en opstelling werden gewijzigd en een aanzienlijke hoeveelheid apparatuur en systemen werd verplaatst naar een ander datacenter. Een ander onderdeel van deze transformatie was de digitalisering van het systeem voor het begeleiden en overdragen van vliegtuigen van de ene luchtverkeersleider naar de andere. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_class=&#8221;swap-on-mobile&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Om dit proces in goede banen te leiden is gebruik gemaakt van het zogenaamde stripsysteem. Voorheen werden aluminium staven met een papieren strook gebruikt, die een aantal basisinformatie over het apparaat bevatten. Dit systeem heeft jarenlang perfect gefunctioneerd, maar door de toenemende drukte op Schiphol ontstond de behoefte om ook dit proces te moderniseren. De papieren stroken werden daarom in het kader van Toren 2.0 vervangen door digitale stroken die op heel specifieke Wacom-tablets werden getoond. Door de lichtomstandigheden rondom de toren was de informatie op de tablets niet altijd optimaal <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;717&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][\/vc_section][vc_section full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; el_class=&#8221;dg-padding-mid dg-overflow-visible brand-element-image brand-element-image-top brand-element-image-right&#8221;][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221; content_placement=&#8221;top&#8221; el_class=&#8221;full-width-row dg-overflow-visible&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;dg-index-fix-none basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>De oplossing<\/h2>\n<p>In samenwerking met Nottrot, leverancier van professionele monitoren, zijn er een aantal aanpassingen gedaan aan de leesbaarheid van de Wacom tablets. De eerste aanpassing was het vervangen van de standaard achtergrondverlichting van de tablets door een Hi-Brightness-versie. Het resultaat hiervan was dat er veel meer licht uit de tablet kon komen.<\/p>\n<p>Een belangrijk aandachtspunt hierbij was het feit dat er een balans moest worden gevonden tussen de maximale helderheid en de warmtehuishouding. Hoe helderder het beeld, hoe meer energie er wordt verbruikt. Daarom heeft Mulder-Hardenberg de maximale helderheid iets verlaagd na installatie van de Hi-Brightness module. Hierdoor bleef de temperatuur in de Wacom-tablets binnen acceptabele grenzen.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>The result<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ook Mulder-Hardenberg paste een techniek toe <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">zogenaamde &#8216;optische binding&#8217;. Het resultaat van het gebruik van optische binding was dat het beeld op het scherm veel contrastrijker werd. Het beeld dat getoond wordt staat nu niet meer &#8216;verdiept&#8217;, maar op het scherm. Dit heeft een duidelijk positief effect op de leesbaarheid van de weergegeven informatie. Door de aanpassingen van Mulder-Hardenberg was het beeld op de tablets goed afleesbaar \u2013 op elk moment van de dag en onder alle lichtomstandigheden. Hiermee heeft Mulder-Hardenberg samen met de partners een belangrijke stap gezet om Tower 2.0 tot een groot succes te maken.\u201d<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row
