Het doel van dit project was een ingrijpende modernisering van de verkeerstoren op Schiphol. Een onderdeel van het project was de digitalisering van het systeem waarmee verkeersleiders de vluchtinformatie aflezen. De indeling en opstelling werd veranderd en er werd een aanzienlijk deel van de apparatuur en de systemen naar een ander datacenter verplaatst. Een ander onderdeel van deze transformatie was de digitalisatie van het systeem voor het begeleiden en overdragen van vliegtuigen van de ene verkeersleider naar de andere.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_class=&#8221;swap-on-mobile&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Om dit proces in goede banen te leiden, werd het zogeheten strippensysteem gebruikt. Voorheen werden aluminium balkjes met een papieren strip gebruikt waar een aantal basisgegevens van het toestel vermeld stond. Dit systeem heeft vele jaren perfect gefunctioneerd, maar door de toenemende drukte op Schiphol ontstond er toch de behoefte om ook dit proces te moderniseren. De papieren strippen werden daarom in het kader van Toren 2.0 vervangen door digitale strippen die op zeer specifieke Wacom tablets werden weergegeven. Door de lichtomstandigheden rondom de toren was de informatie die op de tablets stond niet altijd optimaal leesbaar.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;717&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][\/vc_section][vc_section full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; el_class=&#8221;dg-padding-mid dg-overflow-visible brand-element-image brand-element-image-top brand-element-image-right&#8221;][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221; content_placement=&#8221;top&#8221; el_class=&#8221;full-width-row dg-overflow-visible&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;dg-index-fix-none basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>De oplossing<\/h2>\n<p>In samenwerking met Nottrot, een leverancier van professionele monitoren, waren er een aantal aanpassingen gedaan rondom de leesbaarheid van de Wacom tablets. De eerste modificatie was het vervangen van de standaard achtergrondverlichting van de tablets door een Hi-Brightness-versie. Het resultaat hiervan was dat er veel meer licht uit de tablet kon komen.<\/p>\n<p>Een belangrijk punt van aandacht hierbij was het feit dat er een balans gevonden moest worden tussen de maximale helderheid en de warmtehuishouding. Hoe helderder het beeld, hoe meer energie er verbruikt wordt. Daarom heeft Mulder-Hardenberg de maximale helderheid na plaatsing van de Hi-Brightness module iets verkleind. Hierdoor bleef de temperatuur in de Wacom-tablets binnen acceptabele grenzen.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Het resultaat<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ook heeft Mulder-Hardenberg een techniek toegepast die \u2018optical bonding\u2019 wordt <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">genoemd. Het gevolg van het toepassen van optical bonding was dat het beeld op het scherm veel contrastrijker wordt. Het beeld dat wordt weergegeven ligt nu niet langer \u2018verdiept\u2019, maar juist op het scherm. Dit heeft een duidelijk positief effect op de leesbaarheid van de weergegeven informatie. Door de modificaties van Mulder-Hardenberg was het beeld op de tablets nu prima af te lezen &#8211; op elk moment van de dag en onder alle lichtomstandigheden. Daarmee heeft Mulder-Hardenberg, samen met de partners een belangrijke stap kunnen zetten om van Toren 2.0 een mooi succes te maken.\u201d<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row
