Een van de recente activiteiten van de OBR was de lancering van Rotterdam Internet Exchange (R-iX), die op een aantal locaties en functies is ondergebracht, onder andere als marktplaats voor de leveranciers en aanbieders van internetdiensten. Veel apparatuur vereiste de veilige verwijdering van hete lucht die door de installatie werd gegenereerd. Een probleem hiermee is dat de hete lucht van de ene kast met apparatuur in een andere kast kan komen. Dit interfereert met de noodzakelijke inname van koude lucht.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_class=&#8221;swap-on-mobile&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]Een goede organisatie van de bedrading is van het grootste belang voor de continu\u00efteit van het datacenter. De enorme hoeveelheid digitale spaghetti moet worden ondergebracht in een effici\u00ebnt systeem van kabelkanalen waarbij er een verschil is tussen de UTP-kabels en de glasvezels. De twee soorten draden vereisen verschillende bedradingssystemen. Het datacenter beschikt al over een brandbeveiligingssysteem. Bovendien is fysieke bescherming van het gebied ook noodzakelijk gezien de gevolgen van sabotage voor het systeem en de enorme hoeveelheid essenti\u00eble en vertrouwelijke gegevens. De installatie van de benodigde airconditioning stuitte op problemen vanwege de ondergrondse locatie; er is geen directe verbinding met de buitenlucht.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;1729&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][\/vc_section][vc_section full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; el_class=&#8221;dg-padding-mid-top&#8221;][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221; content_placement=&#8221;top&#8221; el_class=&#8221;full-width-row dg-overflow-visible&#8221;][vc_column el_class=&#8221;dg-index-fix-none basic_mobile_spacing_side&#8221;][vc_column_text]Er is gekozen voor een opstelling van kasten in meerdere rijen met doorgangen aan beide zijden. Deze gebieden zijn verdeeld in warme en koude doorgangen. Bij het eerste type staan de achterkanten van de apparaten, waar de hete lucht wordt uitgestoten, tegenover elkaar. In de koude gangen de fronten, waar de koude lucht wordt opgenomen, naar elkaar toe kijken. Mulder- Hardenberg heeft een systeem van glasvezelkanalen geleverd zonder risico op schade of storingen. Kritische punten bij het aanbrengen van glasvezel zijn de bochten en de zogenaamde &#8216;break outs&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Het gereedschap dat door M-H wordt gebruikt, garandeert te allen tijde de juiste buigradius, zodat storingen en breuken worden voorkomen. Mulder-Hardenberg heeft gekozen voor een systeem van camera&#8217;s voor bewaking in het datacenter. De opgenomen beelden worden opgeslagen op een lokaal ingerichte pc. De software die door M-H is aangepast biedt de mogelijkheid om de beelden op afstand te bekijken. De oplossing voor het airconditioningprobleem is om eenheden in een aangrenzende kamer te plaatsen, onder de roltrappen van het metrostation. Verder onderzoek toont aan dat er openingen zijn in de ondergrondse locatie. Buitenlucht kan vrij door deze openingen stromen vanaf het punt onder de roltrappen.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][\/vc_section][vc_section full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; el_class=&#8221;dg-padding-mid dg-overflow-visible brand-element-image brand-element-image-top brand-element-image-right&#8221;][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221; content_placement=&#8221;top&#8221; el_class=&#8221;full-width-row dg-overflow-visible&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;dg-index-fix-none basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>De implementatie<\/h2>\n<p>Door de ingenieuze opstelling van de kasten kan de afvoerlucht van de installatie worden opgevangen en verwijderd in de hete doorgang. De koude doorgang garandeert een onbelemmerde stroming van koude lucht aan de voorzijde van de apparatuur. Het door M-H aangepaste kanaalsysteem biedt een groot aantal hulpmiddelen die het toepassen van een mutatie in een later stadium eenvoudig maken, zoals een &#8216;break out&#8217;. Het is niet nodig om iets te zagen, stof komt niet vrij en het werk kan zonder storingen in de kamer worden uitgevoerd. Uiteraard bespaart dit veel tijd en geld. Het materiaal bevat geen halogeen. Na een brand blijven er geen gevaarlijke stoffen achter. Dit voorkomt uitval van apparatuur wanneer het datacenter opnieuw wordt opgestart na een brand.<br \/>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; el_class=&#8221;basic_mobile_spacing_side tablet_full_width&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Het resultaat<\/h2>\n<p>Het oplossen van deze vier uitdagingen is van vitaal belang voor het goed functioneren van het datacenter. De noodzaak van adequate veiligheid is duidelijk en staat buiten kijf. De andere drie punten hebben met name betrekking op het zo continu mogelijk maken van de 24-uursoperaties in dit zenuwcentrum. Storingen als gevolg van oververhitting en het onderbreken van signalen leiden tot dramatische gevolgen, die vaak worden gevolgd door schadeclaims van klanten. Met deze multidisciplinaire oplossingen heeft Mulder- Hardenberg het risico op storingen tot een minimum beperkt.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=&#8221;middle&#8221;
